White was also able to make huge deductions from the smallest minutiae of evidence that even after re-reading it I couldn’t wrap my tiny brain around her logic. The plot is very interesting and complex too, but the time hopping back and forth over a twenty year period was distracting and hard to follow at times. She is super intelligent, sarcastic but incapable of feeling any emotion and the author does a wonderful and consistent job of writing from her perspective. White is best described as a sociopathic psychologist and criminologist that does consulting work for the local police department on murder cases.
